Wagered means total bets placed, win or lose. Deposits don't count; a $100 balance cycled fifty times is $5,000 wagered. Thresholds are as published in Stake's help center and may be adjusted by Stake.
What each level actually unlocks
- Bronze ($10k) — rakeback switches on (5% of house edge, every bet), plus the weekly boost and the VIP Telegram. A one-off level-up bonus of around $15.
- Silver, Gold ($50k, $100k) — bigger weekly boosts and level-up bonuses; same reward types.
- Platinum I–VI ($250k–$10M) — the monthly bonus arrives, and a VIP host can arrange daily reloads.
- Diamond I–V ($25M–$500M) — dedicated host, bespoke rewards, larger everything.
- Obsidian ($1B) — the top; level-up bonus reported in the seven figures.
The math nobody puts next to the ladder
Moving from Gold to Platinum I means wagering another $150,000. At a blended 2% house edge that's about $3,000 in expected loss to unlock a level-up bonus and a monthly that runs at roughly 0.05% of wager. The rewards are real; the idea that you should chase them is not. Estimate the monthly before you decide anything.

Casino volume; divide by three for sportsbook. The point of the table is the left column: at everyday stakes the ladder is measured in years, and the rewards it unlocks are worth a few percent of the edge paid along the way.
Which reward each tier really adds
- Bronze — rakeback (5% of edge on every bet) and the Saturday boost. The tier that matters most; everything above scales what it unlocks.
- Silver, Gold — bigger weekly multipliers, a larger level-up. No new mechanics.
- Platinum I–VI — the monthly bonus via a host, negotiated reloads, mid-five-figure level-ups at the top of the band.
- Diamond, Obsidian — bespoke hosting, event invitations, rewards that don't follow a formula.
None of it gates drop codes. Drops depend on the last 7 days, not your tier — a new Bronze account wagering $12,000 this week can redeem a $3 daily drop; a dormant Diamond can't.
Rank vs the 7-day gate
Two different clocks confuse people. Rank is lifetime and permanent. Drop eligibility is a rolling seven days and resets constantly. The VIP page shows the first; nothing in-app shows the second, which is why the wire lets you type your recent volume and hides the codes you can't claim.
Questions people actually ask
- How does the Stake VIP program work?
- Rank is based purely on total wagered amount, not deposits. Bronze starts at $10,000 wagered, Silver $50,000, Gold $100,000, Platinum I–VI from $250,000 to $10 million, Diamond I–V from $25 million to $500 million, Obsidian at $1 billion. Each tier pays a one-off level-up bonus and unlocks more recurring rewards.
- What do you get at Stake Bronze?
- Rakeback (5% of house edge on every bet), the weekly boost, and access to the VIP Telegram. It's the tier where the recurring rewards switch on.
- What does Platinum unlock on Stake?
- The monthly bonus and negotiated daily reloads through a VIP host, on top of rakeback and the weekly boost. Diamond adds a dedicated host and bespoke rewards.
- Is it worth wagering to reach the next Stake VIP tier?
- Almost never on its own. The level-up bonus is a small fraction of the house edge you pay to get there. Let the tier come from play you'd do anyway.
- Do sports bets count toward Stake VIP?
- Yes, and they count triple: $1 wagered on the sportsbook advances VIP progress like $3 in the casino. The calculator has a separate sportsbook field for this.
- How do I check my VIP progress on Stake?
- Profile → VIP shows your current rank and a progress percentage to the next one. Enter those two numbers in the 'I know my rank + %' mode here to get the remaining wager in dollars.
- Does VIP rank ever reset on Stake?
- No. Rank is lifetime wagered; it only goes up. Rewards tied to it (weekly, monthly) still depend on current activity, so an inactive Platinum receives little.
- Is the Stake.us VIP ladder the same?
- Same tier names and the same thresholds expressed in Stake Cash. Toggle the calculator to SC.
- What is the Stake level-up bonus?
- A one-off credit when you cross into a new tier, rising with the tier — small at Bronze, meaningful at Platinum and above (reported in the tens of thousands at Diamond). It's the least important reason to be there.
- How long does it take to reach Stake Platinum?
- $250,000 wagered, lifetime. At $500 a day of casino turnover that's about 16 months; at $5,000 a day, under two months. Sportsbook volume gets there three times faster per dollar.
