Stake rakeback calculator
The one Stake reward with a public formula: 5% of the house edge on every bet. The only variable is the edge of what you play — so it's an input, with honest presets.

Rakeback earned
$5
= $0.5 per $1,000 wagered
Formula: wagered × house edge × 5%, paid win or lose, accruing on every bet. The edge is the uncertainty — RTP varies by slot, and Originals let you pick the multiplier.
The formula
Rakeback = amount wagered × house edge × 5%. It doesn't care whether you won or lost — it rebates a slice of what the casino expected to keep. That makes the house edge the whole story.
| Game | Typical house edge | Rakeback per $1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Dice, Limbo, Plinko, Mines, Keno (Originals) | 1% | $0.50 |
| Blackjack (Originals, sound play) | ≈0.5–1% | $0.25–0.50 |
| Roulette (European) | 2.7% | $1.35 |
| Slots (96% RTP) | 4% | $2.00 |
| Slots (92% RTP) | 8% | $4.00 |
| Sports (theoretical) | ≈3% | $1.50 |
Notice the trap: the "best" rakeback comes from the worst games. A slot at 92% RTP hands back $4 per $1,000 while taking $80. Rakeback is a discount on the edge, never a way around it.
Unlocking and claiming
- Bronze ($10,000 lifetime wagered) switches rakeback on for everyone.
- Sign-up codes can enable it from day one — worth using a code at registration for this alone.
- Claim it any time from the VIP page. It accrues continuously; nothing expires that we know of.
How it stacks
Rakeback is the floor. On top sit the weekly boost (Saturday), the monthly bonus (mid-month), level-ups, and the drop codes — which are gated on the same 7-day volume. A player wagering $12,000 a week on Originals earns roughly $6 in rakeback, qualifies for the $3 daily drops, gets a small Saturday boost and a small monthly. Add it up and it's a few percent of theoretical loss handed back. Useful; not a strategy.
Questions people actually ask
- How much rakeback does Stake give?
- 5% of the theoretical house edge on every bet, win or lose. On a 1%-edge Originals game that's $0.50 per $1,000 wagered; on a 4%-edge slot, $2 per $1,000.
- How do I unlock rakeback on Stake?
- Reach Bronze ($10,000 lifetime wagered) — or use a sign-up code that enables rakeback immediately on registration. It then accrues on every bet automatically.
- Where do I claim Stake rakeback?
- VIP page → Rakeback → Claim. It accrues continuously; claim it whenever you like, there's no expiry that we're aware of, and no wagering requirement on the amount.
- Is rakeback the same as the weekly bonus?
- No. Rakeback is a fixed formula paid on every bet. The weekly boost is a discretionary Saturday bonus based on the week. They stack.
- Does Stake.us have rakeback?
- Yes, in Stake Cash, on the same principle. Toggle the calculator to SC.
- Is rakeback taxable / does it count as winnings?
- It's credited as balance. Tax treatment depends on your country — that's a question for local rules, not this page.
